18th Century Giltwood Console with Carrara Marble Top

Console table, having a rectangular top of Carrara marble, on elaborately carved giltwood base, its pierced foliate apron carved with palmettes and anthemion, centered by plaque outcarved with an eagle, flanked by scrollwork, the frieze having rosette block corners, and draped with carved acanthine festooning, accented by tassels, raised on round tapering, stop-fluted legs, headed by ornately-carved ionic capitals, ending in touipe feet.
