Furniture designs by Edward Wormley utilized quality materials and were understated and well-made, taking the elements from classical/traditional design and translating them into a modern vernacular. His noteworthy contemporaries, Harvey Probber and T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, incorporated a similar aesthetic.
