Hobe Crystal Bracelet. The company was founded by Jacques Hobe in 1897. His son, William Hobe brought the company to the states in 1927. He began designing costumes and jewelry for the Ziegfeld Follies. It was said that Ziegfeld coined the phrase costume jewelry when describing the costumes and the jewelry created for them. The bracelet is elaborately designed with gold mesh braid and open filigree design with clear and amethyst colored crystals. The bracelet measures about 8 inches long and about 1 3/4 inches wide.
