It was explained to us that the earrings were designed by Jana Homsay, a studio artist from the 1960s 1970s, who was greatly inspired by the Greenwich Village school of modernism. The design certainly indicates so. We can find no other information on Jana Homsay. The earrings are sterling, with large oval carnelian cabochons. They are clip on earrings and measure from the top of the clip 3 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide
