Toro Dist NYC Faux Tortoise Shell Lucite Handbag. Circa 1954 1957. Cylindrical in shape, the bag consists of faux tortoise Lucite with small round brass feet. The lid is clear Lucite with deep beveled cuts. The handle is both Lucite and brass as well as the closure. The bag measures 7.75 inches long, 4.25 inches wide and 4.25 inches tall. With the handle 11 inches tall. The same bag, though in a different color, is featured in the book "Carry Me" by our dear friend Jancie Berkson. The picture if located on page 70. Signed Toro Dist.
